MiSeia

About our company

We are a brand new Startup founded and based in London.

Our team consists of dedicated designers, developers, investors and advisors from all over the world.
From the United Kingdom to India, Singapore to the US, and we are expanding rapidly.
Our goal is to use tech and the power of community to tackle abuse and sexual harassment.

We believe that through open discussion, education and technology, we can achieve a safer space for all.

Our Prevention, Emergency and Support technologies work hand-in-hand to offer a holistic service that can be tailored to the user’s needs.
This multifaceted platform is the safest way to ensure that all needs are met, from university students who may need to pre-book a taxi home on a night out, to a business woman frightened by a colleagues’ sexual advances.
From parents wanting a safety tracking system and easy communication platform for their children, to someone wanting to report domestic abuse.

No risks should be ignored, and no cases should go unheard.

Community plays a large role in individual safety. We must be connected with our friends, family and co-workers in order to look out for one another and seek help when needed. MiSeia ensures you are never alone through our tracking, messaging, SOS and support features.

Please join us in our mission to protect one another from this dreadful pandemic of sexual abuse. Your Safety Matters.

The story and mission behind our company

MiSeia is a social enterprise that aims to tackle abuse through education, community and technology.
Our goal is to be all inclusive, catering to men, women and the LGBTQ+ community, and we will continue developing our services so that we can achieve this on a global scale.

  • The year ending March 2020, the Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) estimated that 1.6 million adults aged 16-74 had experienced sexual assault by rape or penetration since the age of 16.
  • 50% had been a victim more than once.
  • Only 16% had reported it to the police.
  • 45% were victimised by their partner or ex-partner.

There is no secret recipe for the prevention of rape or sexual harassment, and no magical solution for recovery.
However, much of the damage can be avoided and/or dealt with more appropriately when we are given the correct tools and information, as well as easy access to the help we need via an app or website.

This vision has no borders and aims to empower users, educate the public, significantly reduce the number of sexual abuse and harassment cases, and create a safe and open space for discussion, support and reporting abuse.

Gaslighting, victimisation and systematic judgement must come to an end.
Through open discussions, education and technology, we can achieve this goal and contribute to a safer world for all.

We would love to get some feedback from you so we can know what works and what needs improvement!
